Papyr is a visual learning web app that turns notes, PDFs, arXiv papers, YouTube lectures, and AI answers into sketchnotes, editable explain pages, flashcards, and audio overviews.
What Papyr is for
Papyr helps students, researchers, professionals, and lifelong learners understand and revisit difficult material. It is useful when a source is too dense for a quick reread, when linear notes are hard to remember, or when you want one study artifact instead of another long chat transcript.
How it works
- Bring source material by pasting text, uploading a PDF, or adding an arXiv or YouTube URL.
- Choose a visual sketchnote, editable explain page, or a section-by-section explain book.
- Review and edit the result, then save it to your library or organize it into notebooks and books.
- Study the saved page with grounded questions, flashcards, or an audio overview.
AI, sources, and accuracy
Papyr uses AI to reorganize and explain material; it does not make AI output automatically authoritative. Generated content can be incomplete or wrong. Keep the original source available, review important claims, and use primary sources for academic, medical, legal, or financial decisions. Source-page markers help readers trace structured PDF content back to the document.
Access and pricing
Papyr has a free plan, paid Learner and Pro plans, and optional bring-your-own OpenAI key access. Current inclusions and prices are listed on the pricing page. The service runs in a modern web browser at trypapyr.com.
